Portable Sawmill Demonstration
Date & Time: September 13th
Presenters: George Radeschi and Dave Scamardella
Cost: free to WOSA Members; $10 fee for non-members
Presentation: 8am - noon
Shawnee Regional Office - conference room (by the white barn at Shawnee St. Park)
detailed and extensive presentation on “Logs to Lumber”
explore the feasibility of using a portable sawmill on your woodlot
also learn about different types of wood, use of wood, and how to air dry and store wood
Lunch & Travel to George's property: Noon-1pm
bring your own lunch and drink - and travel to George's property just south of Bedford
Demonstration: 1pm - 5pm
demonstration using the sawmill to transform logs into siding, fencing, and other building materials
